TITLE : 『VOICE OFF STAGE』 SHIN OKISHIMA

日頃、御世話になっている沖嶋信さんが以前から『FLJ』で連載をしてきた職人さんシリーズに新たに撮りおろした職人さんの写真も加え、待望の写真集『VOICE OFF STAGE』をリリースしました。
もう既に今月の5日よりリリースされて購入していたんですが、その後ゆっくりじっくり見ていきました。
高齢化や後継者不足などによりどんどんと減少して行く『職人さん』と『伝統工芸品』、この写真集で初めて知りBEAMSで初めて実物をみた伝統工芸品も沢山ありました。
その後、何度もこの写真集を見返すと被写体となっている職人さんの表情はもちろん、服装やその方達が産み出す日本の伝統工芸品...
それはもちろんなんですが、作業を行っている現場の背景もまた面白いのにも気付きました。
多種多様な工芸品がある為、使用している道具も色々。
作業場の環境も同じ室内でも照明の輝度も違っていたり、職人さんの周りにある道具入れの棚や整理の具合も違っていたり、同じ『ものづくり』をしていく立場としての視点からも刺激を受けます。
あとは共通項として職人の皆さんが『真剣』というこの字の羅列から感じ取れるような気迫とオーラを纏っていたのが素晴らしかった。
この『真剣』というのが今後の自分の課題目標にもなりました。
これまでの10年間の『真剣』ではなく、10年分の『真剣』を元にした更なる『真剣』ですね。
そして、mo'designの溝口さんとの共同製作での装丁も素晴らしいです。
表紙の青から藍色、白へ移り、また藍色から青で終わる綺麗な写真集。
見せ方はもちろんですが『初めかた』と『終わりかた』への配慮の大切さも気付かせてくれた一冊でした。

Shin Okishima, whom we always have been indebted, has released his long-awaited photo book "VOICE OFF STAGE" featuring the photos of various craftsmen been serialized on "FLJ" with some new additional photos.
I've had it since the release on 10/5 but finally got a chance to really look through it.
The reduce in the population of the "craftsmen: and the "traditional crafts" caused by the aging society and the shortage of the successors, there are many of those that I found out through this book and saw the actual traditional crafts at the release reception at BEAMS for the first time.
As I look through this book over and over, I found it interesting not only the expressions of the craftsmen, outfits, and the traditional crafts handmade by them obviously but also in the scene and the background of where they work at.
Variety of crafts created with variety of tools.
Different luminosity within the same working environment, the tool shelves craftsmen use and the way they store them... I was very stimulated from the point of view as working in the same field of "creator".
Moreover, it is awesome that all the craftsmen create their soul and aura that you can feel from their "earnests".
This "earnest" became my theme now. Not the "earnest" of the past 10 years but more "earnest" based on the one I have been in my past 10 years.
Also you can't forget about the craftsmanship of the binding on this book collaborated with Mr. Mizoguchi from mo'design.
Beautiful photo book gradate from the blue on the cover to indigo, white, and then again from indigo to end with blue.
This book made me realize the importance of not only the way to express, but also hot to "start" and "end".

今季の NEXUSVII MADMAXX はジャケットとストールの全３型リリースとなります。
その最後を飾る VECTOR JACKET 、こちらのボディはブラウンのベースにブラックを重ねて染め上げられた別注の ディアスキンレザー（鹿革）を採用しております。
染色方法は先日の DAZZLER 同様ですが、あちらは カウレザー（牛革）を使用している為に、多少の堅さがあり柔らかく身体に馴染むまで時間が掛かります。
しかし、ディアスキンレザー はもともと柔らかく馴染みやすく、他のレザーには無い通気性の良さと蒸れにくく匂いを防ぐ特製があります、また独特のシボ感があるのも魅力の１つです。
ボタンアップのフロント、サイズ調整の可能なレースアップ仕様になったサイドベンツなどディテール、シルエット共に最高の仕上がりとなっております。
襟元にはラッキーチャームベルを取り付けられるフックが付くのも特徴的なデザイン、更に裏地には大手メゾンのヴィンテージスカーフを厳選し使用、１点ずつ柄が異なる MADMAXX ならではのアイテムです。
This VECTOR JACKET concludes the releases of NEXUSVII MADMAXX this season.
This jacket is made of special ordered brown Deerskin dyed in Black.
The Dyeing process on this Deerskin is the same as the previous DAZZLER AJCEKT in cow leather but the cow leather is still stiffer and it takes time to fit to your body.
On the other hand, the Deerskin is not only soft and easy to fit, but also known for their breathability like no other leather and avoid the unique smell. The unique texture is also its charm.
Supreme finish with its silhouette and the details such as the button front and the adjustable lace up side vents.
Unique design on the collar with the hook to attach a lucky charm bell. One and only MADMAXX series with vintage scarves on the lining.

NEXUSVII NEX-WCS レベル５に属する ダイア柄がグラデーションの様に徐々に拡大していくキルティングのフロントジップジャケットです。
既にリリースされているベスト同様、光沢感のあるマイクロリップに色褪せた糸を使用したクラシックな雰囲気を醸し出すステッチが特徴的です。
こちらは１２月にリリース予定の レベル6 に属する GOR-TEX® HOODED JKT のライナーとしても仕様可能なデザイン設計となっております。
Quilted zip jacket which belongs to level 5 among NEXUSVII NEX-WCS series. The Diamond shape quilt pattern gradually get bigger as it goes down to the bottom. The stitch work with faded threads, same as the quilted vest released previously this season, shows classical feel on the glossy micro ripstop nylon.
This jacket is designed to eb able to wear as a liner for the level 6 GORE-TEX® HOODED JACKET which is scheduled to be released in December.
